1. The service
Kcalories is a free wellness tool for logging meals, estimating calories and macronutrients, tracking weight and measurements, viewing trends, keeping a personal GLP-1 log, and comparing goals with someone you trust.
The service is operated by Hugo Daniel Parrales López, an individual based in San Salvador, El Salvador.
2. Age and accounts
Public content is available without an account. To create an account and use personal logs, you must be at least 18, provide accurate information, protect your credentials, and notify us if you suspect unauthorized access.
3. Not medical care
Kcalories is not a medical device, consultation, diagnosis, prescription, or emergency service. BMI, BMR, expenditure, goal, date, and nutrition calculations are informational estimates that may not be appropriate for pregnancy, nursing, minors, high-performance athletes, or people with medical conditions, eating disorders, or clinical needs.
The GLP-1 module only records what you enter; it does not recommend medication, dose, interval, or treatment changes. Always follow your treating professional. In an emergency, contact local emergency services.

4. Artificial intelligence
Text and photo analysis uses an external artificial intelligence service to generate estimates. It can misidentify food, portions, or nutrients. Review and edit every result before saving it, and never use it for medical decisions, medication changes, or treatment.
5. Your content and Buddy feature
You retain rights to data and images you enter. You grant us a limited authorization to process them solely to operate the features you request. You represent that you have the right to use the content and that it does not infringe third-party rights.
Buddy linking is voluntary. Protect your code, link only with someone you trust, and unlink whenever you no longer want to share the permitted comparison.
6. Acceptable use
- Do not access, test, or interfere with accounts, servers, security controls, or usage limits without authorization.
- Do not automate abusive requests, scrape data at scale, distribute malware, or try to obtain an API key.
- Do not upload unlawful, misleading, privacy-invasive, or unauthorized content.
- Do not present Kcalories output as a professional diagnosis or use the service to harm another person.
7. Free service and ads
The current version is free, with no subscriptions or in-app purchases. Public pages and the blog may display ads to fund the service. The native app and private areas remain ad-free. Any future paid feature will show its terms and price before you agree.
8. Intellectual property
The Kcalories brand, design, software, and original content belong to the owner or are used with permission. These terms do not transfer rights in the service. You receive a personal, non-exclusive right to use Kcalories while you follow these terms.
9. Availability and changes
We may fix, update, limit, or retire features for maintenance, security, cost, or legal reasons. We aim to prevent loss and announce material changes, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted operation, total absence of errors, or permanent compatibility with every device.
10. Suspension and termination
We may suspend an account that abuses the service, threatens security, or violates these terms. You may stop using Kcalories and delete your account from Profile at any time. Deletion is permanent.
11. Liability
Kcalories is provided “as is” as a free informational tool. To the extent permitted by law, the controller is not liable for medical or dietary decisions based solely on estimates, outages beyond reasonable control, or indirect loss. This does not limit non-waivable consumer rights or liability that law does not permit us to exclude.
12. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of El Salvador. Disputes should first be addressed in good faith and, where appropriate, before the competent courts of San Salvador, without limiting mandatory rights in your place of residence.
